Couples counselling has a four part assessment structure. The first session is as a couple where I learn who you are, how you came to be a couple, and the specific problems your hoping to work on and resolve.
You will then be asked to complete the Gottman relationship questionnaire. After each of you will have an individual session to review the questionnaire results and be asked additional questions.
The last assessment session is as a couple and called the "feedback" session where I distill the information you've provided and give you a plan to move forward as a couple. From there, depending on the issues identified, we will meet weekly or biweekly to address and overcome the issues that are affecting your relationship.

I help clients address and overcome life stressors related to: couples issues (Gottman Method Couples Therapy), interpersonal and family issues (parent guiding and support), child behavioural concerns, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), autism (ASD), suicidal thoughts and actions, men's issues, career planning, existential crisis, gender identity and formation, grief and loss, abuse, and trauma.
